Install in oh-my-pi (omp)
omp reuses a Brain setup from Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or VS Code. Otherwise add it with /mcp add or mcp.json, then sign in or use a token.
Already set up in Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or VS Code? omp reuses it, so you are done. Otherwise:
1 · Add the server
Run /mcp add in omp, or put this in ~/.omp/agent/mcp.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"brain": { "type": "http", "url": "https://brain.levirge.com/mcp" }
}
}2 · Sign in
Run /mcp reload, then /mcp test brain, and sign in when the browser opens.
Later: /mcp reauth brain.
3 · Verify
Ask for a read-only call: kb_overview returns your workspace's knowledge
summary.
Using a token instead
For machines that cannot open a browser (CI, a server). Get a
token first and put it in an environment
variable, for example export BRAIN_TOKEN=<your-token>. Then add a headers
line; omp expands the variable:
{
"mcpServers": {
"brain": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://brain.levirge.com/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ${BRAIN_TOKEN}" }
}
}
}Troubleshooting
omp does not see the server. Run /mcp reload to rediscover configs, then
/mcp test brain.
Sign-in has expired. Run /mcp reauth brain.
"401" or "Unauthorized" with a token. Check the header is exactly
Authorization: Bearer <your-token>, and that the token has not been revoked on
Profile → MCP Tokens.
