These steps connect with a [token](/brain/docs/install/mcp#auth). Get one first.

## 1 · Open Remote Servers

Click the **MCP Servers** icon in Cline's toolbar and open **Remote Servers**.

## 2 · Fill in the form

Name it **brain**, paste the URL, choose **Streamable HTTP**, and click **Add
Server**.

## 3 · Add your token

Open **Edit Configuration** and add the header to the **brain** entry:

"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer <your-token>" }
```

## 4 · Verify

Ask for a read-only call: `kb_overview` returns your workspace's knowledge
summary.

## Troubleshooting

**Cline says the server is disconnected.** Open **Edit Configuration** and check
the entry has `"type": "streamableHttp"` and the token header. Then toggle the
server off and on.

**"401" or "Unauthorized" with a token.** Check the header is exactly
`Authorization: Bearer <your-token>`, and that the token has not been revoked on
[Profile → MCP Tokens](https://brain.levirge.com/profile).
