Custom MCP servers are added in ChatGPT Plugins; your account or workspace
policy decides whether that is allowed, and a workspace admin may need to enable
marketplaces. Steps follow
[OpenAI's guide](https://developers.openai.com/plugins/deploy/connect-chatgpt).

## 1 · Open Plugins

Open **Plugins** in the ChatGPT desktop app (or
[chatgpt.com/plugins](https://chatgpt.com/plugins)) and click **Add**.

## 2 · Add a marketplace

Choose **Add a marketplace**.

## 3 · Enter the source

Enter this as the **Source**, leave Git ref and Sparse paths empty, and click
**Add marketplace**:

```
levirge/brain
```

## 4 · Install the plugin

**levirge-brain marketplace added** confirms it. Open the **Personal** tab and
click **+** next to **Levirge Brain**.

## 5 · Sign in

A **Levirge Brain plugin installed** message confirms it. Sign in with your
Levirge account when asked.

## Verify

Ask for a read-only call: `kb_overview` returns your workspace's knowledge
summary.

## Troubleshooting

**I cannot find Add a marketplace.** It is in the **Add** menu on **Plugins**. If
it is missing, your account or workspace policy may not allow marketplaces; ask a
workspace admin.

**The plugin does not show up in my chat.** Install it, start a **new
conversation**, type `@` and pick **Levirge Brain**.

**The tools look out of date.** Open the connection at ChatGPT Plugins and click
**Refresh**, then start a new conversation to try it again.

**ChatGPT cannot connect.** The server must be reachable over public HTTPS at the
`/mcp` path. You can check the endpoint with the MCP Inspector.
